Zhorrah Grant hails from the beautiful islands of the Bahamas, where she grew up in the city of Nassau. She has resided in Canada for over 20 years, where she has earned both her bachelor’s degree in criminology at St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and a post secondary Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care at George Brown College.
With a passion for beauty, she has always been fascinated with hair, makeup, nails and the list goes on. While working as an educator at an all girls boarding school here in Toronto, she decided to seek part-time work at a well-known beauty supply store. Being with that company for 5 years, she held many positions and left the company as a supervisor. At that time, this position is the highest any person of color was promoted to. This is when she decided it was time to open her own beauty supply store. Zhorrah has traveled around the world researching and studying the best ways to create the best experience for customers that enter her store.
In August 2020 at the age of 30, Zhorrah became the proud business owner of Canada’s Largest Black Owned Beauty Supply Store, Hair Granted Beauty Supply. More recently, she has become the Co-Owner of Canada’s Largest Black Owned Nail Supply Store, Nail Addikts Depot and Canada’s ONLY Black Owned Nail School, Tips School of Nails.
Zhorrah looks forward to expanding her brand across the GTA, Canada and her home, The Bahamas.

Hair Granted Beauty Supply Incorporated (HGBS) is Canada’s Largest Black Owned beauty supply retailer established in 2020. HGBS offers a wide variety of hair extensions, hair care products, skin care products, cosmetics, accessories and so much more. Here at HGBS, we are known for our virgin human hair bundles and wigs. With a wide selection of textures from Russian Straight to Brazilian Bodywave, with lengths ranging from 10 inches to 42 inches. HGBS also carries over 200 human hair and synthetic wigs ranging from 6 inches to 40 inches.
